Home School Program

Re-Inventing Education

Twin Lakes Stable offers an exclusive Equine Studies Bridge program.  Youth learn best when you find something they love (in this case, horses) and then design a coherent and consistent curriculum blending critical academic disciplines with critical life-skills. Our program blends physical education (horseback riding, groundwork, and conditioning for riding) with curricular modules. Horses 101 is designed to be an introductory level equine studies program serving as a bridge between the academics and agricultural life on the farm for homeschoolers . Students will find their experience both challenging and rewarding. Parents will be pleased to find our programs affordable

Horses 101: The Well Rounded Youth

Unlike any other barn or program, Homeschoolers Horsemanship is another one of our exclusive kids programs offered only at Twin Lakes Stable.

This 6-week course is divided up into physical interaction with horses (feeding, grooming, groundwork, and riding practice) and units of interdisciplinary study.

Free of Restrictions

Twin Lakes Stable welcomes students from ALL school districts.  No prior experience with horses is required. Just a willingness to learn. We strictly limit enrollment to no more than 10 children per semester to ensure the highest quality of educational experience to benefit your child/children.

The Difference

While the curriculum modules are important, perhaps the most important aspect of the Twin Lakes Home School Program is the way it nurtures strong resilient young people. Training and relating to horses on a regular basis develops compassion, problem-solving, and communication skills, while building leadership skills and self-confidence.

Combining Acdademics & Horses

Learning is fun when you're participating in hands-on horse activities to explore the wonderful world of mathematics, science, english, history and physical education.

Academics in the Barn

Bringing math and science to life! Let's measure out your horse's food to learn how many pounds of grain each horse eats.  Grab your stethoscope and let's take our horse's pulse and respiration! Learn how mankind's history was built on the back of horses.

Our coursework doesn't end there!

Children learn in a safe, engaging, educational environment on the farm.

Our exclusive, customized Homeschoolers Horsemanship program is designed to meet the unique needs of home schooled budding equestrians.

The Cost

$150 per child for each 6-week course they take. Multiple courses available. Tuition covers course notebook, TLS provided reading material and art supplies. It does not cover additional reading material not created by TLS.

We have a family discount of $100 per child for each additional child from the same family. (i.e. First child $150 and second child $100. Total for two children would be $250.)
